Biography

Alcides Velasquez is an associate professor in the Department of Communication Studies at the University of Kansas. His research interests include political uses of social media, such as social media political expression and activism, and digital inequalities. His current focus of research revolves around the question of how the current opinion climate shapes political communication and participation patterns among ethnic minority groups.
